Fairy World PTU Tutorial




This tutorial was written by me on March 18, 2013 and 
any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. 
Supplies Need:
Tube of choice: Fairy Set by Suzanne Woolcott

So, let's begin!
*remember to save often!

Open up element 16, frame, copy frame and paste it as a new IMAGE close the origional. Make your canvas size pretty large here so we have enough room to work >image>canvas size>1600x1300. 
Open paper 3, copy paper, take magic wand, click inside the frame shape selections>modify>expand to 11> make new raster layer and paste the paper into the selection on the new black raster layer you just made.
Open element 1, green grass, copy and paste as a new layer on top of the circle frame, at the bottom edge.
Open element 5, purple flowers, resize to 54%, copy and paste as a new layer on top of the grass.

Open up element 32, square frame, resize 55%, rotate 10 degree to the right, copy and paste as a new layer on the upper right edge of the round frame. Add shadow:V: 1 H: 0 O: 85 B: 3.
Duplicate the square frame, flip the frame around>image>mirror and pull it down to the lower left edge of the circle frame.
Open paper 5, copy paper, take magic wand, click inside the frame shape selections>modify>expand to 11> make new raster layer and paste the paper into the selection on the new black raster layer you just made, do this for both square frames.
Open element 7, clouds, copy and paste as a new layer under the two square frame, on the left upper edge.
pen element 28, lantern and curled grass, copy and paste as a new layer positioning on the bottom layer on the lower right side. Duplicate image, flip the grass around>image>mirror and pull it down to the lower left edge of the circe frame on the other side. 
Open element 2, tree, copy and paste as a new layer positioning on the bottom layer on the left side.
Open element 10, circle of sparkles, copy and paste as a new layer positioning on the bottom layer on the lower right side.
Open up element 33, purple bow, resize 50%, copy and paste as new layer on the top, in the center of the overlapping square frames.


Add your tube, I used the fair set by Suzanne Woolcott, tubes 1, 2 & 4 . Place tube 1 and 2 tube beneath the square frame layers. Use the lasso and trace around the frame shape [do this on each fairy tube layer], selections>invert>edit>clear.
Copy and paste fairy tube 4 to the top layer, center. Add Shadow.
Crop down as close to the edges as possible without cutting anything off...resize to 650 on the largest side.
[You can go smaller size on this if you prefer]
Add watermarks and copyright info.
Add word art, if you choose to use it.
For the name and word are I used the glass, HSB Noise and gradient glow filter from Eyecandy 4000 I also added a shadow.

Save and you are done!
If any part of your tag is blurry you can clear it up by sharpening the layer >adjust>sharpen.

So, let's begin!
*remember to save often!

Open 61, thick wood frame, copy frame and paste it as a new image close the original.  Make your canvas size pretty large here so we have enough room to work >image>canvas size>1600x1300. 
add shadow:
V: 1 H: 0
O: 85 B: 3



Open paper 16, copy and paste as new layer. Take the lasso and trace around the frame shape [on this paper layer], selections>invert>edit>clear.



Open 17 ,green ribbon, free rotate to 30% to the right, copy and paste as a new layer placing it on top of the frame layer, upper right corner.


Open 61, green grass, copy and paste as a new layer positioning on the bottom of the frame layer.


Open 76, fence, copy and paste as a new layer positioning under the grass layer, make sure just the end pieces are hidden by the grass layer.



Open 68, dandelions, copy and paste as a new layer positioning under the grass layer, make sure just the end pieces are hidden by the grass layer.
Open 54, short yellow flowers, copy and paste as a new layer, above the fence, positioning it above the grass layer.



Open 65, flower spray, copy and paste as a new layer positioning it on the top layer.



Open 84, lamp, resize by 58%, copy and paste as a new layer positioning it on the top layer, lower right side, add shadow.



Open 63, tilted wood frame, copy and paste as a new layer below the other two layers, position it to the lower left of the first frame layer. Add shadow with same settings as before.



Open paper 1, copy and paste as new layer, send to bottom. Take the lasso and trace around the frame shape [on this paper layer], selections>invert>edit>clear.



Open 44, 2 tall sunflowers, copy and paste as a new layer positioning it to the left in inbetween the frame layers, make sure the bottom edges are hidden by the grass layer.



Open 77, vine, free rotate to 9% to the left, copy and paste as a new layer placing in inbetween the frame layers, add shadow.



Open 60, tree, free rotate to 9% to the right, copy and paste as a new layer placing it on the last layer.



Open 19, green heart spray, copy and paste as a new layer positioning it below the tree on the lower right side.



Open 83, yellow spray, flip the image around >image>mirror>, copy and paste as a new layer positioning it below the tree layer on the upper left side, make sure some of it peeks out over the top.



Open 3, sunflower, copy and paste as a new layer on the upper right  corner, bottom layer, add shadow.



Open 82, green spray, copy and paste as a new layer positioning on the lower left side on the bottom layer, duplicate layer, flip the image around >image>mirror>. Make sure just a little of the green is showing on both sides.



Crop down as close to the edges as possible without cutting anything off...resize to 650 on the largest side.

Add your tube, I used the Butterfly 2 by Alex Prihodko. I'm using the yellow layer and girl ONLY, X out any other layers there. Copy and paste as a new layer on the top, add shadow. 



Add my word art if you choose to use it.
[I have used the Lokas Software's gel filter and the gradient glow filter from Eyecandy 4000 on the WA]

Add watermarks and copyright info.
For the name I used the Lokas Software's Cotton filter and the 
gradient glow filter from Eyecandy 4000 I also added a shadow.

Save and you are done!
If any part of your tag is blurry you can clear it up by sharpening the layer >adjust>sharpen.

Funny Bunny PTU Tutorial!

Supplies Need:
Tube of choice: We love you little princess 2 by Suzanne Woolcott  
I got this tube when she was at AMI but you can find this at her store

Scrap kit: Funny Bunny by Gemini Creations. Find it HERE

So, let's begin!
*remember to save often!

Open up element 55, copy frame and paste it as a new IMAGE close the origional. Make your canvas size pretty large here so we have enough room to work >image>canvas size>1600x1300. 
add shadow:
V: 1 H: 0
O: 85 B: 3
Open paper 8, copy and paste as new layer. Take the lasso and trace around the frame shape [on this paper layer], selections>invert>edit>clear.
Open up element 50 [frame], copy and paste as a new layer on the top. Add shadow with same settings as before.
Open paper 5, copy and paste as new layer, send to bottom. Take the lasso and trace around the frame shape [on this paper layer], selections>invert>edit>clear.
Open element 54 [heart], free rotate to 20% to the right, copy and paste as a new layer placing it on the top right area between the two frame layers, add Shadow.
Open element 46, copy and paste as a new layer positioning it below the heart.
Open element 31, copy and paste as a new layer positioning it below the heart layer, add shadow.
Open element 27, copy and paste as a new layer positioning on the bottom layer on the upper right hand side, make sure none of the end pieces are showing.. hide them under the heart and grass.
Open element 43, copy and paste as a new layer positioning it on the bottom layer, move it to the lower right side of the frames.
Open element 20, copy and paste as a new layer on top, add shadow.
Open element 26, copy and paste as a new layer under the egg and flower layer just applied, do this twice..once on each side, add shadow.
Open element 47, copy and paste as a new layer adding it under the egg and flowers, position to the left side as I have show in my sample, add shadow.


Add your tube, I used the We love you little princess 2 by Suzanne Woolcott. Place this tube beneath the element 50 [frame layer]. You can make the rabbit's ears come out of the frame by using your lasso and tracing around the part you want to come above the frame, selections>promote section to layer. Send this to the very top layer.
Crop down as close to the edges as possible without cutting anything off...resize to 650 on the largest side.
[You can go smaller size on this if you prefer]
Add watermarks and copyright info.

Save and you are done!
